ABOUT

Jennifer Theriault, PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner — Functional & Metabolic Wellness

Jennifer Theriault, PMHNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner specializing in functional and metabolic psychiatry, dedicated to uncovering the root causes of mental health challenges and guiding patients toward long-term emotional and cognitive wellness.

With over 27 years in healthcare, Jennifer's approach integrates hormonal, nutritional, and metabolic interventions alongside circadian psychiatry, functional testing, and personalized therapeutics. Her practice blends evidence-based strategies with cutting-edge science, ensuring every treatment plan is tailored to a patient's unique biochemistry, metabolism, and psychological health.

HER APPROACH

Jennifer specializes in conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and OCD, focusing on metabolic balance, hormone optimization, and cognitive resilience rather than symptom suppression alone.

Her method begins with a foundations first approach, establishing the core pillars of how you move, eat, and sleep. Once these are stabilized, the focus shifts to restoring circadian alignment, optimizing cellular charge through grounding, sunlight, and red light exposure, supporting hydration, and refining sleep architecture. Together, these create the conditions for both biochemical stability and emotional resilience.

AREAS OF FOCUS

Genetic & Biochemical Precision

Genetic testing informs psychopharmacologic decisions and individualized diet and supplement strategies, integrating long-term preventive and restorative care into every plan.

Metabolic & Hormonal Psychiatry

Diet, movement, and when appropriate, GLP-1/GIP therapy support psychiatric and metabolic recalibration. Hormonal optimization for both women and men, alongside oxytocin support for connection and emotional regulation.

Cellular & Nervous System Resilience

Treatment stacks supporting ATP production and neurotransmitter balance, including NAD+, B12, and methylene blue protocols for neuroprotection and cognitive clarity, plus low-dose naltrexone and peptide therapies for inflammation and mood stability.

Beyond Traditional Psychiatry

Jennifer believes mental health cannot be addressed in isolation. Her practice is not a conventional psychiatry clinic, but a metabolic psychiatry model built on sleep and circadian alignment, nutrient-dense hydration and diet, movement and stress mitigation, and deep relationships and life purpose.

Rather than one-size-fits-all medication management, she weaves in CBT techniques, motivational interviewing, and somatic and supportive therapy as part of a comprehensive care model, never standalone talk therapy.

Currently advancing her training in Integrative and Functional Psychiatry through a fellowship with Psychiatry Redefined, and studying to sit for The Menopause Society board certification

Why I Built Warrior ReWild This Way

I've worked in healthcare for over 27 years, and for a long time, I practiced the way I was trained to. Someone came in with anxiety, we treated the anxiety. Someone came in depressed, we adjusted a medication. It was standard, it was familiar, and by most measures, it was "good care."

But over the years, I kept noticing the same pattern. Patients would stabilize on paper, medication adjusted, symptoms technically improved, and still come back saying something wasn't right. Their sleep was still a mess. Their energy never came back. Their mood would lift for a while and then quietly slide again. I started to realize that treating the mind on its own, separate from everything else happening in the body, was only ever going to ……..
