Why Direct Integrative Psychiatric Care?
At Warrior ReWild, we model our approach after Direct Primary Care (DPC), often referred to as Direct Care. This model emphasizes personalized, patient-centered care and provides an unparalleled opportunity to address mental health issues with the depth, understanding, and compassion that you deserve.
In the Direct Care model, one of the defining features is the allocation of more time to each patient. Unlike conventional healthcare systems, where clinicians often rush through appointments to see a high volume of patients each day, Direct Care professionals have the luxury to engage deeply with their patients. This additional time allows for a more thorough, nuanced understanding of a patient’s mental health needs.
The Direct Care model also allows for more flexible communication and follow-up care, making it easier for patients to reach out when they need support. This accessibility can be especially beneficial for those dealing with mental health issues, who may require prompt assistance during difficult times. We assure a 24-hour or less turnaround response from either myself or my highly trained and knowledgeable staff.
This model is particularly beneficial in mental health care, where symptoms can be complex and multifaceted. In a Direct Care setting, PMHNPs can look beyond the immediate symptoms and consider the patient’s overall well-being. This might include discussing lifestyle factors, stressors, and even goals and aspirations. Such conversations can unearth underlying issues that contribute to mental health conditions, leading to more effective and personalized treatment plans.
At Warrior ReWild, this model allows us to not only ensure standard of care psychotropic medication management, but also take the time to integrate a holistic approach. We address diet, exercise, lifestyle, stress, and sleep into your plan of care. We offer Mind-Body Techniques both in the office and virtually. In addition to traditional psychopharmacology, when appropriate we blend botanicals and nutraceuticals into each personalized treatment plan. We take the time to educate about circadian rhythms and natural cycles as a fundamental part of the holistic approach to mental health care.
Incorporating the principles of root cause psychiatry, we strive to identify and address the underlying causes of mental health conditions. This can involve exploring past traumas, genetic factors, environmental influences, and other potential root causes. By understanding these root causes, we can develop a comprehensive treatment plan that not only manages symptoms but also targets the root causes to promote long-term mental health and wellness. This is the essence of our commitment to providing integrative, compassionate, and evidence-based psychiatric care at Warrior ReWild.
